My childhood home was at the foot of a mountain in a lush valley. My brothers and I would wander through the forest that sloped up steeply in our backyard. We’d pick guava and avocados, cut bamboo shoots, swing from branches and vines, and listen to the call of birds we couldn’t identify. To be in n ature is a gift that feeds my senses and nurtures my soul. It teaches me that change is inevitable and all life is a constant transformation.
