It was a fairly calm and beautiful sunny day in Ko’Olina that Saturday morning. It was still early enough there weren’t too many swimmers, mostly people exercising on the path next to me. It was pure bliss to be in such in company with God’s magnificent creation of ocean, sky, trees, sand and grass, and a touch of breeze, all in one place. Lagoon 3 is surely beautiful place to paint. I was enamored with the color of the water and the perfect scenic view, just a sense of calm. This piece was my first canvas in developing a way to write into my landscapes. I have always been intrigued with inspiring words. I started with doodles and developed into writing words. So I have started a series of “Find the Love” paintings that have inspiring words in them.
