Olomana Morning

Inspired by a quiet peaceful morning in Maunawili where Thomas grew up and resides. Olomana means “Divided Hill” as it has a distinctive peak with a split summit between Waimanalo, Enchanted Lakes, and Maunawili. Mount Olomana is unique in it’s shape, as it looks different from every perspective. Some views it looks like a long wall, while others it looks like a blade like ridge, where hikers sometimes fall to their death. It’s sister piece is titled, “Kaelepulu Wetland”, a view from the other side in Enchanted Lakes. Another piece is titled “Olomana Third Peak”, showing the dangerous narrow blade like perspective.
