The mauka have such a deep impact on me emotionally and creatively. Their striking peaks and lush valleys are awe-inspiring, and make me never want to stop trying to find new ways to capture their magic. Every time I look at them I see something fresh and different that calls me to create more. This piece is an exploration in trying to capture the mist and fleeting rainbows that surround them.
