I turned toward my inner imagination to create this scene, relying more on color and emotion. Using the palette knife only, I felt required to focus more on color and texture. It feels more like building a painting than drawing one. I like the results of unexpected outcomes. Part of my motivation is to give up some control and follow the paint instead of just imposing my goals onto the paint. It's nice to arrive somewhere you did not fully expect. I am trying to become more give and take with my art process.
