Kailua Beach

This painting depicts an iconic scene of Kailua Beach. The ocean is a vibrant blue with gentle waves, and in the distance, one of the Mokulua Islands stands out. I painted the sky mostly clear with a few scattered clouds to recreate the tranquil atmosphere of my favorite beach. I aimed to portray different personalities in this painting: a young couple emerging from the water, solely focused on each other; a man gazing at the ocean, perhaps contemplating fishing or kayaking; and another individual observing the beachgoers. As you look at this painting, you can craft your own stories, just as I have mine. The overall scene evokes a sense of relaxation and natural beauty, capturing a peaceful moment by the seaside at Kailua Beach.
