I started with a forgotten steel sheet, once vibrant with painted images that have long faded. Now, only ghostly marks and a symbolic "X" remain, telling a story of decay and renewal. I used acid and multiple process of paint to create delicate rust patterns, etching time into the metal, and in doing so, I wanted to capture that feeling of something thať's been lost but isn't entirely gone It's like a door or a portal--maybe to another place, or maybe just into our own past experiences. 'les' bygones be bygones", is a reminder that the past, with all its memories and relationships, shapes us but doesn't have to define us.
