I frequently use a "crackle powder" fusing process that includes clear sheet glass and several colors of glass powders.
This piece incorporates hot, warm and contrasting colors and was fired several times including a final "slump" firing to create a shallow bowl shape. It was inspired by solar images and flowing lava.
The work is mounted on a vertical acrylic stand and can also be displayed horizontally on an acrylic ring.
