Inspired by the beautiful haku lei created and sold at Punahou Carnival each year. A highly detailed Hawaiian flower lei po’o drapes over a richly colored, natural edged monkeypod slab sourced from local woodworkers. It is both simple and intricate. Flowers such as purple cymbidium orchids, blue hydrangeas and pink roses are individually created by hand from heavy acrylic paint and assembled piece-by-piece much like a real lei.
