Aoki’s Shave Ice - Haleiwa

The Story of Aoki’s Shave Ice began in the 1930 when the Shimoda family served Shave Ice at the old Hale’iwa Theater .When the theater Closed, Sumic Shimoda Aoki and her son Michael Aoki opened Aoki’s Shave Ice in 1981 carrying on the family tradition . For decades , Aoki’s Shave Ice has been more than just shop —- It’s a symbol of Hale’iwa Cultural heritage . Generations of locals and tourists have enjoyed Aoki’s , refreshing treats, making it a part of their Hawaiian memories.
